History of Obstetrics

In early 18th century in Europe the pregnant women are completely bound with women, they are refused to mingle with men. The mother used to invite her close female family members and friends to her place to accompany her. At the time of childbirth experienced midwives handled all form of labor and delivery. The existence of surgeons and physicians are very less, and they appeared only if there is any severe complications or if the midwife had wasted all her extent. And they see disgust about having a men deliver women.
